Job Title: Material Handler -Shipping 2nd shift

SUMMARY

Responsible for the movement of product for continuous flow of direct and indirect work areas with the use of fork truck and other types of material handling equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties may include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Moves product, inclusive of loading and unloading trucks, with the use of a fork truck or other equipment.
• Assures product is properly marked, scanned and tagged as it is moved from area to area.
• Assures product is placed in appropriate areas for holding and/or storage.
• Completes and maintains proper paperwork as required for the job.
• Completes appropriate daily checks on assigned fork truck and other equipment to assure equipment meets safety requirements.
• Maintains clean and safe work area and assigned equipment.
• All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Ability to possess a fork truck driver’s permit.
• Good reading, writing, mathematical, listening, and communicating skills, along with exceptional organizational skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manual. Ability to speak and communicate effectively.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Fork Truck Driver’s Permit
• Validated Driver’s License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

• Forklift: 2 years (Required)
• shipping/inventory scanning: 1 year (Preferred)
