Substitute Teacher
The Burlington County Special Services School District is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting students with unique abilities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly in an educational setting, is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and be a team player.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- Assist students with mobility, personal care, and other physical needs as required. (Not limited to feeding, bathroom use, toileting needs, and / or physical assistance).
- Requires lifting, positioning, pushing and lifting equipment necessary for care.
- Duties may require extensive standing and walking for extended periods.
- Duties require frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to lift and assist with the physical needs of disabled students when necessary up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Required NJDOE training including Safety Care Training and/or Behavior Intervention training.
