Quality Technician

Basic Function Develop a detained quality plan, maintain surveillance of vendors, establish a reporting system and pursue a quality plan, while seeking a continuous improvement process with employee involvement.

Specific Duties

• Meet weekly with the Quality Manager to review quality audits and customer specifications.
• Review and update the Quality Assurance manual.
• Train inspectors/auditors in correct audit function and reporting process.
• Administer and maintain a gauge calibration program.
• Develop and implement incoming material audits and testing procedures, documenting results.
• Assure the initiation and development of quality plans and standards to insure continuity of production, containment of defective parts and finished products in order to ensure the quality of outgoing products.
• Maintain an active spoilage and rework program.
• Keep abreast of quality problems and assume prime responsibility for diagnosis and procurement of corrective action.
• Act as liaison between quality assurance and other departments within the company.
• Administer and document in-process quality audit procedures.
• Conduct audits of outgoing product insuring complete and accurate shipping and labeling instructions.
• Keep immediate work area clean and orderly.
• Do all other duties as assigned.
