What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafeteria Worker - Cook's Helper (17.5 hours weekly) position at Burlington High School?
The Burlington Public Schools is seeking an energetic, hardworking individual to add to the food service program. This is a permanent position for 17.5 hours a week (3.5 hours daily).
General responsibilities include the efficient operation of the kitchen in cooperation with the Manager, and assisting the manager in the following functions:
- Preparation and serving meals, cleanup operations of kitchen and equipment
- Monitor cash receipts and cashier as needed
- Perform other duties as required by th Manager
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in accordance to ServSafe protocol
There is no experience necessary for the position, and training is provided. Must be reliable, flexible, and enjoy working in a team environment. Must be willing to be ServSafe trained. Must be able to follow all safety standards as well as lift and occasionally move up to 30 pounds.
Compensation: Starting rate is $19.85/hour
Hours: 9:30am-1:00pm
Start Date: Position is available immediately
