Job Purpose:
Used to telling stories with numbers, this individual will provide strategic product and pricing analysis to internal business partners and manage internal reporting and administration of our price books and contracts. You will analyze market drivers and the competition to recommend product pricing, margin considerations and product life-cycle considerations. Responsibilities include product sales and pricing analyses, contract administration, pricing optimization, pricing implementation and monitoring of contract compliance programs.
Essential Functions:
- Research and analyze product sales, margins, customer needs, demographics, and market trends competitor tactics, to identify demand and other factors to optimize product lifecycle and strategy.
- Process large datasets—extracting, cleaning, analyzing, and auditing—to deliver product and market insights, establish reproducible methods, and create visual, story-driven reports.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Finance to implement product portfolios and pricing programs aligned with revenue and margin goals. Act as the gatekeeper for pricing adjustments.
- Develop and manage pricing strategies, discontinued products, databases, and proposals; ensure accurate internal and external outputs using Salesforce and other tools.
- Provide internal and external customer support for product and pricing issues and maintain accurate data across platforms.
- Ensure accurate pricing data delivery to internal and external customers. Develop and manage pricing databases and coordinate implementation of pricing proposals, preferably in Salesforce.
- Validate data accuracy and provide ongoing support to resolve product and pricing issues across Salesforce, DataMart, and online platforms.
- Maintain a deep understanding of customers, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and product lifecycles.
- Conduct research on competitors’ marketing strategies, product features, USPs, pricing, and product/service distribution methods.
- Administer and monitor customer contracts, renewal periods, and price lists while analyzing customer
- asset/inventory data for trends and competitive threats.
- Evaluate pricing strategy effectiveness, create pricing scenarios, and make recommendations to Product Managers and senior leadership.
- Serve as the central resource for developing annual Product Group Sales Quotas.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven 2-4 years of work experience in market research, statistical, financial or data analysis
- Strong financial acumen, with advanced skills in financial modeling, data analysis and experience with data management platforms and visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Excel, or similar.
- Expertise in converting complex data findings into tables, graphs and/or data visualizations.
- Strong statistical foundation.
- Extensive understanding of pricing methodologies, cost structures and market dynamics.
- Proficient computer skills and understanding of ERP systems, business processes and Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with various CRM capabilities, specifically within Salesforce.
- Functional knowledge of Quote-To-Cash, Configuration, Product catalog/modeling, Pricing and Quoting functionality is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technologies, applications, and solutions.
- Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems as well as provide documentation, guidance and instruction to users.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, managing multiple projects tasks, prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
