Burlington is looking to fill the position of Lab Technician to work as part of the Burlington Labs R&D team. Laboratory technicians are involved in a variety of laboratory-based investigations within biological, chemical and physical areas. They may carry out sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing of results as part of a scientific team. Technicians provide all the required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively while adhering to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines. Laboratory Technicians carryout work that assists in the development and advancement of modern performance-driven fabrics in support of key industries such as medical, military and clean room. The Lab Technician position is a good building block to other R&D opportunities within Burlington Labs.

Qualified candidates will have the following background and experience.
Mandatory:
• Strong organizational and planning skill are required
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate verbally, and via written/electronic means
• With adequate coordination with your manager, be able to work independently on projects
• Demonstrate proficiency with math: percentages, decimals and pre-algebra
• Be able to work at times within factory floor conditions (warm environment, noise, etc)
• Must be able to read, understand and execute written test procedures
• Post-secondary education (additional details in Preferred requirements below)
• Must be safety minded, prepared to read, understand and follow safety requirement
Preferred:
• Associates or Bachelors degree or 3 years textile related lab experience is an advantage
• Have exposure to manufacturing and/or laboratory environments
• Ability to apply chemicals, dye fabric, and be able to assess color
• Exposure to college level mathematics and chemistry
• Experience with maintaining and operating laboratory equipment
