Training Manager / Head Fitness Coach

A successful Lead Trainer thrives in a small business, fast-paced environment, is adaptable to change, and effectively leads and influences other team members. The Lead Trainer reports directly to the Regional Training Manager and is a critical piece of the Gym Management Team (GMT).
YOUR ROLE: As a Burn Boot Camp Lead Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and challenging workouts to members of all fitness levels, while taking ownership of member experience and managing the trainer team. This position requires a strong ability to engage and motivate multiple members at a time and provide a positive community for change. A Burn Boot Camp trainer focuses on lifestyle, including mindset, nutrition, strength and burst (HIIT) training, all creating an inviting environment of support that exceeds member expectations. Burn Boot Camp trainers must have a strong desire to help members reach their health and fitness goals through pushing them outside of their comfort zone and showing them what they're capable of.
The Iead Trainer position is full time The shifts range anywhere from 4:30am-1:00pm and/or 3:30pm-8:30pm Monday - Friday, and 7:30am - 11:00 am alternating Saturday's. This position will need someone who is extremely flexible, willing to help your team meet the company's objectives. The Lead Trainer position is salaried and requires a 40 hour per week work schedule; this will include some early mornings, evenings, and holidays. This is a salary plus commission pay structure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member Experience
- Train an average of 18-20 camps per week
- Develop and facilitate with team to create genuine relationships with every member to understand their goals and how to best motivate to reach results
- Lead and motivate members by delivering pre-designed and custom intense workouts following protocol
- Oversee team and execute focus meetings that align with Burn Boot Camp philosophy
- Ensure safety of members through exercise technique
- Modify specific exercises to accommodate various fitness levels Execute on member outreach process using Loopspark within the required response time
- Oversee member satisfaction, resolving any issues that cannot be resolved by the trainer
- Execute in gym challenges per HQ
- Attend and encourage attendance at hosted educational seminars
- Host and/or train private events to build community and educate members
- Member Growth Management
- Work with Operations Manager to reach target goals.
- Utilize scorecards to understand the variances to plan, propose solutions and actions if falling short of goal, and execute to reach the gym goals and company objectives.
- Build, and sustain a highly engaged community
- Gym Operation Management
- Assess gym performance, identify opportunities and determine actions to resolve by utilizing the Blue Carpet Experience checklist
- Lead the team and generate energy according to the Marketing Outline
- Actively participate in regular meetings such as Promotion, Gym Performance, and Department and Team meetings Execute nutrition product education
- Utilize MindBody to modify camp or team schedules
- Personnel Management
- Manage schedules for trainers and ensure all camps are covered; fill in if needed
- In conjunction with Human Resources, recruit and onboard new team members as necessary
- In conjunction with the Training Manager, execute shadowing process for new hires
- Deliver effective feedback for quality training
- Handle disciplinary measures through resolution, as necessary (including verbal and written redirection and possible termination)
- Manage training team certifications and SAC Tests
- Social Media
- Follow the Social Media Content Calendar to create and post agreed upon posts
- Ensure consistent and quality content is being posted
- Professional Development
- Attend and participate at Burn University
- Attend and participate at Monthly Trainer Development Meetings
- Maintain current Personal Training & CPR/AED Certificates
- Opportunity to attend Regional Trainings, Annual Summit and other events as opportunity allows
- All trainers must hold an NCCA Accredited current Certified Personal Trainer certificate: Accepted NCCA Accredited CPTs include: AAPTE, ACE, ACSM, ACTION, CI, IFPA, ISSA, NASM, NCSF, NCCPT, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, NSCA, PTA, WITS.
- All trainers must hold a CPR/AED certification
- All trainers must successfully pass the Burn Boot Camp Strength & Conditioning Assessment.
