WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Strategic HR Leadership :
Develop and align HR strategies with operational objectives.
Collaborate with senior leaders to integrate HR initiatives with business goals.Analyze workforce metrics (turnover, engagement, absenteeism) to drive improvements.Advise on organizational design, change management, and workforce optimization.Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning :Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
Partner with department heads to create workforce plans aligned with business needs.Employee Relations :Cultivate a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Lead workplace investigations and recommend actionable solutions.Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters.HR Compliance and Risk Management :Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor regulations.
Manage audits and mitigate HR-related risks.Standardize policy and procedure interpretation and application.Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) :Champion DEI initiatives, embedding them into HR practices and company culture.
Safety and Wellness :Collaborate with the safety team to maintain compliance with MSHA and OSHA standards.
Promote wellness initiatives and programs that support employee health.Performance Management :Oversee performance reviews to ensure consistency and fairness.
Coach managers on goal-setting, feedback, and performance improvement strategies.Lead succession planning to support leadership development and growth.WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters preferred).Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is highly desirable.8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven expertise in strategic HR planning, talent management, recruitment and organizational development.Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to navigate complex situations with discretion and professionalism.Experience with HR technology and data analytics is a plus.Competencies
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Business acumen with budgeting and financial analysis experience is considered an asset.Strategic problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Additional Requirements
Ability to travel to various locations within the USA and Canada.Valid drivers license and USA passport.Reliable vehicle.Work Conditions
