What are the responsibilities and job description for the LUBE TECHNICIAN position at BURNCO LLC?
EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment including oil changes lubrications and filter replacements
Perform minor repairs such as replacing head light bulbs, tail / blinker lights / marker lights tightening loose fittings, adjusting tire PSI, side mirrors.
Use diagnostic equipment to identify check engine lights
Collaborate with operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs needed
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work
Be available to travel to a different BURNCO location each day if necessary
Contribute to keeping areas in and around the plant clean and hazard free
Escalate concerns to supervisor as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Pay Rate : $24 per hour

Ability to use a computer to log services, work orders and operate diagnostic tools
Ability to identify standard drive train items and truck chassis items (drive lines, yoke, carrier bearing, brake chambers, wheels, suspension and steering linkage, fluid levels, measure brakes and tire PSI)
Ability to maintain proper attendance while working irregular hours, including Saturdays as scheduled
Ability to work from other BURNCO plants on a regular basis
Commitment to safety, customer service and teamwork
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Some mechanical background experience, at home repairs, commercial lube shop, tire shops or 1 year as a lube tech for a fleet.
Ability to pass Pre-Employment Testing
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Employee is exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes and aggregate materials.
Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats. Additional PPE required if performing special jobs.
