The Probation Officer performs moderately complex social service work. The Officer will

provide supervision to juveniles as directed by the Court. Work is performed under general supervision and

performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. This position does come in

contact with youths that have severe behavioral and / or mental health deficiencies or needs, and all clientele

have the potential to be dangerous and aggressive. The performance evaluation is conducted by the Chief

Juvenile Probation Officer.
