Burnett Medical Center is looking for a part-time ED Patient Access Representative. This position greets and registers patients for the Emergency Department.
SHIFT/HOURS:
0.275 FTE (22 hours per pay period); 9am-9pm every other Saturday and Sunday
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and register patients, obtain required signatures/forms. Work with families, medical staff and other healthcare personnel when needed. Other assigned tasks may include admitting/discharging patients, transferring appropriate paperwork, calling other medical facilities for information or transfer. Patient confidentiality required.
Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service and communication skills are required. Clerical experience and/or previous registration experience is preferred. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, compassionate personality, ability to multi-task, self-starter, and a team player. Medical field background a plus, but not necessary.
