Litigation Paralegal- Houston
A national based law firm located in Houston is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their team. Candidates must have 5 years of construction litigation experience within a law firm. Candidates will be working on a heavy litigation docket and must have experience with state and federal courts. Bachelor's degree is preferred. This position offers a hybrid schedule and full benefits. Duties include :
- E-filing in federal courts and state courts.
- Perform administrative duties, such as calendar hearings, court and discovery deadlines.
- Drafting of routine court documents, such as notices of appearance, motions for extension of time, motions for default and subpoenas.
- Manage hard copy and electronic case documents, including managing email and electronic files and preparing binders of hard copy documents.
- Ability to provide internet research including pulling cases from Lexis and Westlaw, as needed.
