What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Apprentice position at Burnette Construction?
- Assist in the construction of residential buildings by performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Work alongside skilled craftsmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) to learn essential construction techniques.
- Follow safety guidelines and ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist in the preparation of materials and tools needed for various tasks.
- Help with demolition, framing, drywall installation, roofing, and other construction tasks as directed.
- Transport and handle construction materials on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Learn how to read blueprints and construction plans.
- Follow instructions from site supervisor and senior tradespeople to ensure the project is completed to specification and on time.
- Complete any required coursework or training as part of the apprenticeship program.
