Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to engage with customers, manage cash transactions, and maintain a well-organized store environment will be key to ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries.
• Operate the cash register accurately, processing sales transactions and handling cash with precision.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure a neat and inviting store layout.
• Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer engagement.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions and sales to effectively inform customers.
• Manage returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Uphold store standards by keeping the checkout area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in retail math and basic math skills is essential for accurate cash handling.
• Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone is beneficial.
• Experience in supervising or training new staff members can enhance your application.
• Ability to conduct product demos effectively to engage customers and drive sales.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
