Job Overview
The Mental Health Acupuncturist will provide acupuncture services to clients as part of a multidisciplinary team, addressing mental health concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. You will collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and wellness professionals to create personalized, integrative treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ physical and emotional health to design individualized acupuncture treatment plans.
- Administer acupuncture treatments with a focus on supporting mental health and emotional well-being.
- Educate clients on the benefits of acupuncture and provide guidance on complementary self-care practices.
- Collaborate with mental health providers and contribute to holistic care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Stay informed about best practices and emerging research in acupuncture and mental health.
Qualifications
- Licensed Acupuncturist in CO, with a clean and active license.
- Certification by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) is preferred.
- * Experience in or passion for working with clients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Strong understanding of how acupuncture can support mental and emotional well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with clients.
