JOB TITLE: Server
REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Director
COMPENSATION: Hourly (Non-Exempt Status)

This position requires working some weekends and holidays during peak season (May through September).

Who we are:
- Burning Tree Country Club is, first and foremost, a private golf club that places high importance on creating an open and familyoriented environment.
- The club was founded in 1962.
- Our amenities include an 18hole golf course that hosted US Open Qualifiers and Met PGA events, an 8lane 25meter pool with a diving well, HarTru tennis courts, a platform tennis complex, and multiple member and event dining options. We also have active junior programs in golf, tennis, and aquatics and offer a summer camp.
- We take pride in our daily ala carte service and the firstclass events created by our Events & Banquets Team.
- Our Food & Beverage department includes various a la carte outlets (indoors and outdoors, i.e., The Grille Room, Founders Bar, Patio, and Salons, catering to all Member's and guests' needs according to established rules and etiquette.

- Follow club policies and procedures, including maintaining knowledge of the POS system
- Completes side job duties, including—but not limited to—restocking the side station with silverware, glassware, and linen, polishing glassware, china, and flatware, folding napkins, and resetting the tables for service, etc.
- Be courteous, maintain a professional attitude, and act professionally throughout service no matter how busy you are.
- Assist the host and management with meeting, greeting, and seating guests when required.
- Work individually within your assigned section to ensure member satisfaction.
- Must be able to work as a team and get along with coworkers to ensure a positive working environment for all staff.
- Must be able to take orders correctly for drinks and food.
The Standards
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving standard situations.
- Basic bar and beverage knowledge: beer, liquor, wines.
- Basic dining room service, etiquette, and food knowledge.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Strong verbal and written skills to manage all business communications using proper etiquette.

- While performing the duties of this position, the Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and taste and smell. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required in this job include close and distance vision.
