JOB TITLE: Seasonal Golf Shop Attendant
REPORTS TO: Golf Shop Manager
COMPENSATION: Hourly, Overtime eligible
BENEFITS: Meals, golf privileges, paid time off
This position requires working weekends and holidays during peak season (May through September).
Who you are:
- You have 3 years of experience in a hospitality role.
- You are a great communicator (written and verbal) and have excellent customer service orientation.
- You prefer a role that operates outside of MF/95 constraints and gives the freedom of a varied schedule.
- You can work individually as well as with a team.

- The club was founded in 1962.
- Our amenities include an 18hole golf course that hosted US Open Qualifiers and Met PGA events, an 8lane 25meter pool with a diving well, HarTru tennis courts, a platform tennis complex, and multiple member and event dining options. We also have active junior golf, tennis, and aquatics programs and offer a summer camp.
- We take pride in our daily ala carte service and the firstclass events our Events & Banquets Team created.
- Our Food and beverage department includes various a la carte outlets (indoors and outdoors, i.e., The Grille Room, Founders Bar, Patio, and Salons), catering to all Members' and guests' needs according to established rules and etiquette.
The Essentials
- Daily interaction with members, guests, and staff
- Provide onfloor sales assistance for members and guests
- Help create effective communication and marketing for Golf Shop to Club members
- Facilitate and coordinate merchandise/gifts for special events such as outings and tournaments
- Merchandise all clothing on the shop floor
- Attend to the shop in a manner consistent with expectations from the club
- Assist Members/ Guests with simulator operation
The Expectations
- Ability to multitask, managing phone and member inperson sales
- Ability to merchandise golf shop in firstclass manner
- Recordkeeping of Pro Shop Sales
- Excellent customer service and ability to sell and attend to member needs
The Standards
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the Golf Industry
- Computer literacy
- Basic bookkeeping
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with members and staff
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Ability to be on feet for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift merchandise boxes and stacks of clothing (510lbs)
