What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer/Advisor position at Burnips Equipment Company?
Burnips Equipment is a family owned farm equipment dealer that sells and services multiple lines of equipment. We feature New Holland, Claas, Meyer, Kuhn, and other lines of agricultural equipment. Our company is looking for a Service Writer to assist our Service Team.
As a Service Writer, you job duties would include, but not be limited to:
-Assisting Service Manager with work order write ups.
-Maintaining a call log to follow up with customers after repairs.
-Informing Service Manager and Technicians of part eta’s and back orders.
-Updating customers on their equipment that is in for repair.
-Assisting in keeping open communication between parts and service.
-Contacting customers when PIP’s are available for their equipment.
-Maintaining a log of customer’s equipment warranty expiration, and contacting the customer before the warranty expires.
-Maintaining a log of declined repairs in season and following up with customers in the off season for potential winter work.
-Experience with logistics / dispatching is a plus!
This position is full time, and would include our benefits package (Health Insurance, HSA, 401k, vacation, holidays, and employee discount).

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
