JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Lot Attendant is responsible for managing the dealership lot which includes cleanup, movement, organization, and display of vehicle inventory, tagging the vehicles with disclaimers, and tagging vehicle keys
The Lot Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the sale and upkeep of vehicles, and will oversee the inventory process by managing the following tasks:
Receive and verify inbound vehicles against invoice
Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice/addendum
Records the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt
Compares serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice
Assigns stock control numbers to cars
Catalog and input keys into the One Micro key system
Ensuring inventory is fueled/charged, cleaned, presentable, and properly displaying window stickers, buyers guide, and vehicle information
Maintain stocking levels; keep "duplicates" on the satellite lot to ensure all vehicles are represented on dealership lot
Daily lot walks, checking that front line vehicles have branded tag frames, plate inserts, and decals
Manage wholesale units, including use of a weekly log
Assist sales team during busy times by delivering sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation / detail center
Lot organization will be a vital part of this role:
Ensure inventory and trade in vehicles are promptly moved out of customer parking areas
Parks new, preowned, trade in, and wholesale vehicles in assigned areas
Moves sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order
Picking up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other
Maintaining and organizing the vehicle inventory
Move and deliver vehicles when instructed
Assist with dealer trades
Deliver ongoing quality assurance for on-lot vehicles
Assisting with weather related tasks when necessary, including snow prep and removal
Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management due to operational needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Positive attitude and team mentality
High level of organization, with attention to detail and focus on quality
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to actively listen and take direction, and in turn work independently, take initiative, multitask, and problem solve
Proficiency in dealership inventory software, or the ability to learn to use it
Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations
Ability to read and comprehend directions
Ability to work outdoors, stand for extended periods of time, and use hand and power tools
Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays if requested
