Job Overview
We are seeking a Dental Assistant preferably with experience but not required to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, along with excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Ensure a clean and sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using dental software systems such as Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure that all necessary materials are available for procedures.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and communication.
Skills
- Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Macpractice.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and practices.
- Experience in prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
- Ability to perform medical imaging accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.

Pay: $16.66 - $17.41 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
