Description
The Integrated Security Systems Specialist is responsible for partnering with the Manager of Corporate Security and the Director of Corporate Resiliency with day to day company security operations, including but not limited to access control requirements for all Burns & McDonnell facilities, programming of integrated security systems during hardware equipment installations, testing of existing integrated security systems, commissioning new installations projects, in accordance to Burns & McDonnell standards. The Integrated Security Systems Specialist will consult on the design of integrated security systems at international, regional and project offices and work with contractors to ensuring good engineering project quality and maintain a high level of internal customer satisfaction.
Maintain all integrated electronic security systems at all Burns & McDonnell facilities to include new installation projects and existing systems preventative maintenance programs.
Partner with facilities project manager in facility renovation projects in which the RFP development, design, installation, repair and replacement of electronic alarm, access control and video security systems are included in the scope of projects.
Responsible for electronic security equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and system programming in accordance with BMcD’ s policy and standards locally and through remote coordination, report project status to direct chain of command, regional support assets and internal customers on a periodic and as needed basis.
Provide technical support to internal end users and other company supported departments while conducting systems troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Conduct on-site internal client training or as needed through Microsoft Teams.
Escalate system troubleshooting to vendor onsite maintenance program tickets as needed.
Responsible for the project life cycle of integrators and installers to ensure quality of work and deployment schedules are met.
Explore, test, and integrate new security technology to meet the evolving needs of the organization and develop business cases and strategic plans.
Promote enterprise Corporate Resiliency initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or Electrical Engineering and 4 years professional experience in integrated security field, electronic or small electronic project management, implementation and commissioning required or High School Diploma / GED and 8 years professional experience in integrated security field, electronic or small electronic project management, implementation and commissioning required
Equivalent coursework or certifications in electronics or related fields is preferred
Integrated Security Industry certifications preferred
ASIS Board Certification as a Physical Security Professional (PSP) or ability to obtain in the first 24 months of employment
Basic IT knowledge in security hardware, network, and database systems
Demonstrated proficiency using integrated security systems (access control and / or VMS) preferred
Candidates with project management experience preferred
Experience with Lenel, SPLAN, Everbridge, Commend and Genetec software systems
Good communication and coordination skills.
