About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our high voltage substation design team. As a key member of our electrical engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality electrical protection and control systems for clients across the US and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high voltage (13kV-500kV) electrical substations, including yard layouts, plans, sections, and details, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, and associated bills of material.
- Lead and execute proposals, scope development, conceptual designs, and execution plans.
- Prepare engineering cost and labor estimates and schedules.
- Coordinate and lead activities of others, both individually and on teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- 7 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as NEC, NESC, IEEE, NEMA, and ANSI.
- Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience.
- Successful completion (i.e., passing) FE or EIT preferred.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is $165,000-$225,000 per year, based on individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and location. The total annual compensation package includes a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
