Our Federal group is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to support our growing work in DOE and DOD energetics production facilities. The successful candidate will:
This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered. The position may require travel to support projects, estimated at 25%.

Compensation
$145,000.00-220,000.00 Annually
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.

Our Federal group is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to support our growing work in DOE and DOD energetics production facilities. The successful candidate will:
- Have experience with energetics or explosives system design (synthesis, handling, mixing, and charging).
- Have experience applying explosive-safety requirements into designs
- Have experience in project execution, from initial process studies, support of project cost estimates, through detailed design into EPC project execution.
- Have a clear understanding of the steps of project development (e.g. front-end engineering design) and level of detail required in each step of project development.
- Independently develop PFDs, P&IDs, complete equipment sizing and specifications, develop instrument process data and specifications.
- Demonstrate leadership ability at the discipline level on a multidiscipline project team.
- Develop process models with commercially available programs (Aspen, Hysys, ChemCAD) or by building custom models in Excel.
- Support business development efforts by developing engineering estimates and supporting proposal development.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program. and 7 years process engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required or
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. and 7 years process engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required or
- Master Degree in Chemical Engineering and 6 years process engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required
- At least 10 years of energetics/explosives experience, preferred
- Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong knowledge of process design codes (ASME, ANSI, API, PIP, NACE).
- Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong computer skills include process simulation software (i.e. Hysys and/or Aspen, HTRI) is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
- Ability to travel.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License. Preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoE or DoD Security Clearance.
