Description
Duties:
- BASIC SAFETY
- ASSISTING PIPEFITTERS WITH A VARIETY OF BASIC TASKS.
- FOLLOW CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND INSTRUCTIONS FROM SUPERVISORS OR MORE EXPERIENCED WORKERS.
- PROPER INDENTIFICATION, USE AND CARE OF HAND POWER TOOLS
- DUTIES INCLUDE USING, SUPPLYING OR HOLDING MATERIALS OR TOOLS, AND CLEANING WORK AREA AND EQUIPMENT.
- CUTS OR DRILLS HOLES IN WALLS TO PERMIT PASSAGE OF PIPES, USING PNEUMATIC DRILL.
- SELECTS SPECIFIED TYPE AND SIZE OF PIPE.
- MOUNTS PIPE HANGERS AND BRACKETS ON WALLS AND CEILING TO HOLD PIPE.
- ASSISTS PIPEFITTER TO INSTALL VALVES, COUPLING AND OTHER FITTINGS.
- MAY DISASSEMBLE AND REMOVE DAMAGED OR WORK PIPE.
- WORKERS SHOULD BE ABLETO FOLLOW SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS; PERFOM A VARIETY OF DUTIES WHICH MAY OFTEN CHANGE; WORK WITH STANDARDS OF ACCURACY; REPEAT TASKS OF SHORT DURATION.
- STAND OR WALK FOR LONG PERIODS; USE ARMS AND HANDS TO REACH, HANDLE AND MANIPULATE OBJECTS.
- LIFT AND CARRY MATERIALS.
- LONG PERIODS OF KNEELING, STOOPING, AND CROUCHING
