We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our Aviation Technology team in Los Angeles, CA.
Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Network Engineer to join our Los Angeles team, to support our client, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) with their Capital Improvement Projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, configuring, and maintaining complex networks. You must be proficient in network troubleshooting, security, and performance optimization, with hands-on experience in routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies. A strong background in large-scale enterprise environments is preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
- Network Design & Implementation : Design, implement, and optimize high-availability, high-performance networks that meet business requirements.
- Configuration & Maintenance : Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment to ensure seamless network operation.
- Troubleshooting & Support : Provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution across various network platforms (LAN / WAN).
- Network Security : Implement and monitor network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems (IDS / IPS), and VPNs.
- Performance Optimization : Conduct network performance analysis and implement strategies for optimization (e.g., load balancing, QoS).
- Documentation : Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory lists, and configuration backups. Document troubleshooting steps and solutions.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure network projects are completed on time and to specifications.
- Capacity Planning & Monitoring : Proactively monitor network capacity and performance metrics to predict future needs and ensure network scalability.
- Vendor Management : Coordinate with external vendors for network-related services, troubleshooting, and support as needed.
