The Assistant Project Manager is paired with a project manager to gain project management experience by enhancing previously acquired skills. As the PE, this role offers the opportunity to develop skills in construction operations, client development & management, subcontractor relations, project planning, estimating, scheduling, site safety, corporate culture, and organizational skills.

Requirements:A Day in The Life
- Set up and maintain budgets and cost reports with supervision by the Project Manager.
- Set up and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project.
- Regularly perform walkthroughs of the jobsite(s) to monitor construction progress and quality. Take daily photographs of construction progress and save in project folder.
- Collaborate with the development coordinator to create owner contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Assist Project Managers in managing and tracking all contracting and billing.
- Set up and maintain all onsite construction documents, including plans, specifications, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and associated revisions.
- Manage job processes including Requests for Information (RFI’s), submittals, Change Order Logs, meeting minutes, and invoices. Review and log subcontract change orders.
- Assist with budgeting/bidding, qualifying, and awarding process for all subcontractors for individual projects. Assist with the preparation and presentation of the project Bid Book to tenants and/or owners. Value engineer job costs and negotiate as necessary.
- Evaluate construction documents and develop scope instructions, which clearly indicate to bidding subcontractors the desired scope of work to include in their proposals.
- Prepare and distribute weekly progress reports for customers and other project stakeholders.
What You Bring
- B.S. in Engineering, construction, or similar field.
- Construction internship/ work experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Yardi knowledge a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
