Job Description: Line Cook
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional meals prepared with care and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Burnt Hills Café's recipes and standards.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized food preparation area at all times.
- FOLLOW PROPER FOOD HANDLING AND SAFETY PROCEDURES TO MAINTAIN A SAFE AND HEALTHY KITCHEN ENVIRONMENT.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to prioritize orders and ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Monitor food inventory and communicate with the Head Chef regarding ingredient needs.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the management.
- UPHOLD HIGH STANDARDS OF FOOD QUALITY, PRESENTATION, AND TASTE.
Qualifications:
- PROVEN EXPERIENCE AS A LINE COOK OR SIMILAR ROLE IN A FAST-PACED KITCHEN ENVIRONMENT.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team-oriented setting.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
