Burpee has upcoming openings for our 2025 Seasonal Farm Crew at our facility located at Fordhook Farm in Doylestown, PA! Several positions are available. Occasional over time and rotating weekends are needed. As part of this team, you will be responsible for assisting the farm supervisor with the maintenance and preservation of gardens, trials and building. Location:

Fordhook Farm, Doylestown PA. Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm with rotating weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support with the planting, watering and maintenance of the display gardens, greenhouses, perennial gardens and research gardens.
• Assist with the irrigation installation in the display, trial, and perennial gardens.
• Work collaboratively with our Field Research Coordinator supporting the planting, watering, harvesting and maintenance of the research trials, and other research needed
• Assist with collection of information data, recording, labeling, and database maintenance of trials.
• Assist with the maintenance and clean-up of the research trials, display gardens, perennial gardens and buildings.
• Provide assistance to the photography team and product managers as needed; also assist with public and private events.
• Use of hand tools, including pruners, saws, rakes, shovels, leaf blowers, and other equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Able to work in extreme weather conditions
• Able to work 40 hours per week during busy season, with rotating weekends for watering
• Ability and willingness to communicate with supervisors, product managers and farm guests
• Capable to work independently as well as part of a team
• Able and willing to lift 50lbs
• Valid driver's license required
• Plant and weed identification abilities preferred but not required

• Prior experience preferred but not required
