Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will be responsible for assisting our midwifery team with daily patient care, supporting a smooth, seamless experience for our clients, and ensuring that they feel comfortable, informed, and heard at every stage of their care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with physical exams and procedures.
- Build meaningful relationships with clients by offering empathy, support, and education throughout their journey.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient information and medical history.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining medical equipment, supplies, and a clean, welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, comprehensive care.
- Provide assistance during prenatal and postpartum appointments, including emotional support to clients and their families.
- Help maintain an organized, positive, and engaging environment within the birth center.
- Phlebotomy and preparation of lab specimens.

Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred.
- Previous experience a plus in an outpatient setting, ideally in obstetrics, gynecology, or midwifery (preferred, but not required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- A genuine passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
