Job Title: Business Support data Analyst
Location: Springfield, MO.
Department: Client Financial Services
Employment Type: Full-time
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Job Summary:
Incumbent prepares and maintains complex reports assisting the Revenue Cycle teams in managing the accounts receivable (AR). This position requires strong technical and critical thinking skills with a strong focus on customer service, innovation, and the delivery of the highest quality work product.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and maintains reports combining data from the electronic health record (EHR) with data from third party payers to generate useful, workable reports for the Revenue Cycle teams.
- Manages improvement initiatives related to opportunities identified from Revenue Cycle reporting.
- Acts as the “super user” of Revenue Cycle reporting tools, provide key input and participation on any system upgrade or enhancement affecting these systems.
- Troubleshoots complex issues, develops solutions and recommendations.
- Utilizes data analysis techniques including but not limited to writing queries and reports.
- Mines for data specific to current issues impacting the AR.
- Writes and maintains audit reports to identify anomalies.
- Tracks KPI’s and quality control.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate data analysis into existing workflows and systems.
- Provides strategic support of AR Strategy as it relates to items such as reporting and identify focus areas for improvement.
- Organizes and simplifies data.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in report generation, data collection systems and analysis
- Experience with SQL, Excel, Tableau, Crystal or similar business analytic programs.
- Strong analytical, communication and organization skills and the ability to work effectively with other leaders to achieve business objectives is required
Experience and Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
AND
- Two years Revenue Cycle operations experience in finance, decision support, or related financial analysis background.
OR
- Four years revenue cycle operations experience in similar organization in finance, decision support, or related financial analysis background.
- Certification through AAHAM, AHIMA and/or HFMA preferred.
- Certified Professional Coder preferred.
Employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.
- Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
- All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
- Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.
Physical Requirements:
ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
