- Create and submit insurance claims for private insurance billing in a timely manner
- Conduct audits of claims documentation to verify accuracy of charges and codes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting systems for insurance billings and processing timelines
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and submit appeals within industry time frames
- Communicate with program sites and provide reports to Supervisors and Executive Team members as needed
- High School diploma with courses in typing and business practices
- At least three (3) years of experience in a bookkeeping position
- At least two (2) years of experience in an insurance billing position
- Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects
