Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students individual needs.2.
Translates lesson plans into learning experiences.3. Evaluates students academic growth, maintains appropriate data/records, and preparesprogress reports and report cards.4. Follows district curriculum with fidelity meeting the timelines defined in the curriculum.5. Makes every effort to move students toward proficiency by providing multipleopportunities to learn.6.
Effectively communicates with parents through conferences and/or other means todiscuss students progress and interpret the school curriculum/expectations.7. Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities and byembracing professional growth activities.8. Participates cooperatively with the appropriate administrator to develop the method bywhich the teacher will be evaluated in conformance with the guidelines.9. Participates in curriculum development programs as required.10.
Administers group standardized tests in accordance with state testing program.11. Selects and requisitions books and instructional aides and maintains accurate inventoryrecords.12. Participates on faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelors Degree in Education2.
Rhode Island or equivalent teaching certificate3. Experience preferred but not necessary for hiring
