Scope Assembler

Burris Company, located in east Greeley, is looking for a Scope Assembler in the outdoor sports industry. Benefits begin the first of the month following the date of hire.

This is a first shift position working four 10-hour days - Monday through Thursday from 5AM to 3:30PM or 6AM to 4:30PM.

Base pay is $15.25 per hour PLUS $1 per hour Clean Room Premium ($16.25 total). After 90 days, the Clean Room Premium increases to $2 per hour ($17.25 total).

The Scope Assembler will work as a team member building scope assemblies in a fast paced, high-quality working environment performed in a clean room. The job requires building small assemblies, working with acetone, great vision and an ability to focus eyes in different locations throughout a scope.

· Work at a fast pace with a high level of quality

· Work with Acetone used for cleaning lenses and reticles

· Communicate effectively with all members of the assembly team

· Visual inspection of work ensuring zero rejects

· Assemble small precision parts

· Follow established procedures

· Accurately filling out all necessary documentation

· Work in a clean and safe environment

· Work overtime as needed

· Flexibility in regards to assigned work operation

Education & experience requirements:

· Required: High School Diploma or GED

· Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and succeed

· 3 to 5 years assembly experience preferred

· Knowledge and experience working with optics is preferred

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Should possess a fundamental understanding and experience with assembly processes and procedures.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be willing to do repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
• Good vision, 20/20 corrected preferred
• Aptitude to learn and adapt quickly
• Must be inquisitive and ask questions
• Effective and direct communication skills orally and written with staff and management.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Basic understanding of computers.
• Ability to read part prints/schematics
• Must be able to speak English.

Background check and drug screen required.
