What are the responsibilities and job description for the I&E Designer Level III position at Burrow Global, LLC?
Burrow Global is seeking to hire an experienced I&E Designer for a long-term assignment with a Petrochemical company located in Dayton, TX.
The primary responsibilities of the Instrumentation & Electrical Designer shall include:
Associate’s degree in drafting or design with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in I&E Design.
Experience with Autocad and CadWorx.

The primary responsibilities of the Instrumentation & Electrical Designer shall include:
- Facilitate project design and drafting management in accordance with industry and company standards as necessary to ensure the successful completion of all project related activities.
- Provide design and drafting services for time / budget critical projects including preparation of process flow diagrams (PFD), piping & instrument diagrams (P&ID), general equipment layouts, facility plot plans, and equipment and instrument lists for plant related construction projects.
- Assist in the development of Project Scopes, Engineering / Design Scopes, and Construction Scopes of Work documents.
- Maintain Instrument Indexes
- Create and update Instrument Spec Sheets
- Attend project meetings to obtain a full understanding of customer needs and scope definitions, and to provide technical input toward efficient and effective designs.
- Assist in the review of man hour estimates and work schedules to assure efficiency in the execution of projects.
- Assist in coordinating the distribution of design packages related to projects to ensure that all stakeholders are allowed input, and that all necessary information is exchanged.
- Communicate with vendors as required for materials quotes and availability of materials.
- Generate material requisitions for submittal to project manager for approvals.
- Maintain records of documents and correspondence pertaining to technical design issues throughout the development of projects.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, purchasing agents, inspectors, engineering contractors, and construction contractors relating to design drawing content, materials and construction issues.
- Provide guidance so to enhance the ability of others to obtain required information using departmentally developed tools and methods.
