What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Structural Designer position at Burrow Global?
Burrow Global has an immediate need for an experienced Civil Structural Designer for a long-term opportunity in Baytown, TX.
Candidates note: No per diem or relocation assistance is available on this position. You must live within driving distance of Baytown, TX.
This Sr. Level designer will participate in Civil Structural Architectural capital projects needed at this chemical manufacturing site. Candidates will influence the direction of complex brownfield capital projects up to 25 mm. This position will work with other engineering disciplines and project managers assigned to the capital project.
Candidate must have experience in the following areas:
- Experience with Structural design practices and materials (i.e. steel, concrete).
- Experience with Civil design practices and materials (i.e. Subsurface pipes, paving, drainage, etc.).
- Understanding of Industry design codes (i.e. ASCE, AISC, ACI, PIP, AASHTO etc.), or building code requirements (i.e. IBC).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Construction administration experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Smart Plant 3D and SPR.
- Ability to perform field work, basic surveying, and inspection work in process areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma, associate degree, or technical training.
Valid TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
