Burrow Global has an immediate need for an experienced Construction Coordinator for a 10 month project with a chemical manufacturing company on the east side of Houston.
The Construction Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of capital project construction activities within a petrochemical facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement construction execution plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with various departments and stakeholders.
- Coordinate pre-construction activities such as scope development, risk assessment, resource planning, and procurement of materials and services.
- Manage construction execution activities including contractor management, progress tracking, issue resolution, and quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies throughout the turnaround process.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, operations, and other departments to optimize turnaround performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct post-turnaround reviews to evaluate performance, capture lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement for future events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field with 7 years of Construction Coordination experience
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, project planning tools, and turnaround best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
