Burrow Global is seeking a skilled Crane Rigging Safety Specialist for a long-term assignment with a petrochemical client on the southeast side of Houston.
This professional will be responsible for overseeing critical lift operations to ensure it is completed safely and effectively.
This position will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating the set-up of cranes systems and bull rigging operations used at this facility.
The Crane Rigging Safety Specialist will oversee and inspect the movement of heavy equipment and ensure safety procedures are followed during operations.
The ideal candidate has a keen understanding of load factors, equipment inspections, and safety measures associated with crane operations.
Responsibilities
Provide confirmation the crane site is suitable for required lift requirements. The site will allow the crane to be moved, set up and operated safely and effectively.
Provide crane and rigging oversite for the setting up, repairing, and dismantling machinery or heavy equipment
Ensure the manipulation of rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear is satisfactory to move or support materials in question.
Confirm the construction partner has inspected and tested rigging to ensure safety and reliability
Ensuring load weights do not exceed equipment specifications
Working with team members to ensure the lift is completed safely.
Observing load hooks to ensure safety of loads
Complying with all safety procedures and regulations
Qualifications
H.S. Diploma 5 years of experience as a Crane Safety Specialist
Certification in crane operation and rigging is required
Active TWIC Card.
