Advanced wood-working position responsible for building custom cabinets, and components, that are not part of the standard Assembly Line flow. Specialty items (IE wood hoods, wine racks, spice pull outs, islands etc.) are value-added products requiring strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure specialty items are built on the appropriate schedule date
- Construct Specialty Items to the company’s specifications
- Build custom items with the highest quality standards
- Prepare custom items for the Finishing department
- Assemble specialty components after being finished (paint / stain)
- Manage multiple projects at the same time in an organized manner
- Continuously seeking improvements on ways to increase efficiency of Specialty Items
- Strong communication skills with other Cabinetry Specialists and the department Lead
Essential Skills
- Follow all safety guidelines
- 5 Years (minimum) of experience in cabinetry, or similar carpentry experience
- Be able to read a tape measure
- Be able to read and understand an assembly sheet
- Be a strong team player
- Be able to follow directions and adjust to changes throughout the shift
- Have strong attention to detail and quality focused
- Maintain a clean and clutter free work area
- Have a strong desire to learn and have a great work ethics
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to perform other tasks as required by the company
- Hand Tools
