The Role :
Direct Impact, the issue advocacy and grassroots practice of Burson (a WPP agency) is seeking an Account Director to work with a globally recognized automotive client. With a presence in every U.S. media market and community, our teams of seasoned local experts effectively localize and execute national campaigns and initiatives providing clients with direct access into every community across the country
The Account Director will join a dynamic, fast-paced team supporting a Fortune 100 Automotive client. This highly visible position offers the opportunity to work with a matrixed cross-functional team on multiple project workstreams. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, with outstanding writing skills and solid project management experience with the ability to streamline ongoing projects across various workstreams.
This is an opportunity to help our client achieve successful communication deliverables and outcomes around an exciting and innovative line of new automobiles.
The Work :
- Client-facing with execution and oversight of projects around stakeholder and local media relations and events campaigns ensuring high quality and on-time deliverables
- Coordination of asset and content creation, including but not limited to press releases, editorial stories, legal claims, media responses and fact sheets
- Work with Marketing team to determine status of current assets, assets in need of development, and what teams will be responsible for creation
- Responsible for coordination of agency calls, meetings and agendas and recaps
- Media monitoring supervision and review
- Additional Ad hoc client and practice requests as needed

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
