Account Supervisor, Health & Wellness

The Role
We are looking for an Account Supervisor to join our best-in-class Healthcare team in NYC. This Account Supervisor will help to establish the strategic vision for a number of client initiatives.
You will be managing day-to-day client activities across a variety of programming and be comfortable with and interested in integrated communications: digital and social programming, traditional media, paid media and internal communications. You will be a core member of our team, leading and managing your own projects and work streams. This is an opportunity to draft strategic materials for clients, generate creative ideas, manage projects, think both strategically and tactically and have an impact in our Health & Wellness team.

Account Supervisor, Health & Wellness

The Work
- Develop knowledge of client verticals, business goals and overall competitive landscape through trade publications and desktop research
- Write an edit integrated materials including pitch letters, new releases, social and digital content, blogs, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios
- Create and maintain media lists, handle routine media inquiries and pitch client messaging
- Monitor several outlets a day and be able to differentiate between what is newsworthy to give constructive and well-thought-out client recommendations
- Develop a vast knowledge of the media that influences your client’s customers while building relationships with key media outlets
- Develop relationships with external audiences (media, third-party constituencies, etc.) to pitch and convey client stories
- Secure media interviews and coordinate specific events and promotions for clients
- Be comfortable with digital media tools and metrics and utilize social networking formats to reach specific audiences
- Interface with clients, respond effectively to clint questions and contribute in client meetings all under the supervision of senior managers
- Assist in account administration duties such as billing and activity reports
- 4 years of communications experience with a PR agency preferred
- Experience and/or interest in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
- Passion for telling the client story and a proven track record of success positioning large clients with top tier media
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Understanding of the integration of social media and traditional media
- Ability to take ownership of a program and work with autonomy
- Experience using media monitoring tools (Cision, Radian6, Gorkana, Vocus, etc.) is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as social media platforms (Facebook, X, Pinterest, Instagram)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong attention to detail
- Experience working in and contributing to an inclusive and collaborative environment
- Ability to push the envelope and think outside the box
