As Burt Brothers continues to grow, we are adding a hands-on Controller to strengthen our accounting operations and build the financial infrastructure needed for the road ahead. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level accounting professional who brings strong fundamentals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to make an immediate impact.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations

• Own the monthly close and financial reporting processes

• Ensure financial accuracy and compliance with GAAP

• Support audits, tax filings, and external financial reporting

• Help build and improve internal controls and accounting processes

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning

• Partner closely with leadership to provide financial insights and business support

• Provide direction and oversight to a small accounting team

What We’re Looking For

• 5 years of accounting/finance experience, including 1–2 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role

• Solid understanding of GAAP, financial operations, and internal controls

• Hands-on approach with the ability to lead while doing

• Proven ability to build structure in a growing or multi-location environment

• Strong communicator who collaborates well with operations and leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
