Responsibilities:

• Perform emissions tests on customer vehicles per requirements established by local and county governments.
• Follow all emissions inspection regulations.
• Assist, when needed, in performing oil and lubricant changes as per established procedures
• Occasionally inspect and replace filters, hoses, and other components as required
• Check and top off all fluids, including engine oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, antifreeze and brake fluid
• Perform minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs and fuses
• Inspect vehicles for safety and identify potential repairs
• Explain services and repair options to customers
• Conduct visual inspections of vehicles
• Comply with safety procedures
• Follow all safety protocols while working in the shop
• Provide excellent customer service
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
• Possess a valid state drivers license for conducting test drives.

Qualifications:

• Must be a certified emissions technician and fully understand all county emissions rules and exemptions.
• Certification in Salt Lake County preferred, Summit, Weber, and Davis Counties also helpful
• Team player
• Attention to detail and ability to follow precise guidelines
• Customer service oriented
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Possess a valid driver's license w/good driving record
• Strong problem-solving skills
