Job Summary

The Lead Business Analytics role requires translating complex predictive analytics and root cause analysis into actionable insights for executives. Strong EQ and communication skills are essential for simplifying technical concepts. The ideal candidate understands SQL & Python (without needing hands-on coding) and can design compelling data visualizations to drive business decisions. They will collaborate with stakeholders to address key challenges using data and must thrive in a mid-market environment , wearing multiple hats. Experience with IoT , A/B testing , hypothesis testing , and difference-in-differences analysis is highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze predictive analytics and root cause analysis to provide executive-level insights.
• Develop data visualizations that tell compelling stories and support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions .
• Guide technical teams by interpreting and advising on SQL & Python -based solutions.
• Work in a mid-market environment that requires adaptability and the ability to take on multiple roles.
• Leverage experience in Internet of Things (IoT) analytics (preferred but not required).
  
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Engineering, or another related field with significant analytical coursework.
• Experience:
• 5 years of experience in internal or external analytics consulting.
• 3 years of experience in a business analysis or data science role.
• 2 years of experience in Power BI.
• 3 years working with SQL or Python.
• Skills:
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively lead projects from conception to conclusion, both independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional SQL skills with a strong track record of working with complex datasets, including data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong understanding of business processes and strategic planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proven track record of leading projects and working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with Azure (or other cloud environments) and Databricks.
• Understanding of data warehouse/data modeling concepts and procedures.
• Experience creating calculated metrics, managing, and blending data models within Power BI.
• Experience with IoT, SaaS, and/or intelligent consumer products & services.
• Statistical background preferred.
• Experience with A/B Testing, Causal Inference Testing, Hypothesis Testing, Disparate Data Sets, Difference-in-Differences analysis strongly preferred
