Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research on all aspects of a product’s experiences and data, providing insights and recommendations on critical data points.
- Own and drive the data product lifecycle from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional collaborations between business leaders, data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to enhance data accessibility and usability.
- Develop and refine data models, tables, and dashboards to support self-service analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
- Define and implement best practices for data governance, integrity, and quality assurance across data products.
- Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert, advocating for data-driven decision-making and fostering a culture of data literacy.
- Partner with business teams to translate strategic goals into actionable data solutions that support revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer insights.
- Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and guidance for data product usage across the organization.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team skill development through training and coaching.
- Evaluate and integrate new data sources and technologies that enhance analytics capabilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8 years in analytics, data product management, or business intelligence.
- 5 years in a business analysis role, working with data solutions that impact business strategy.
- 3 years leading data-driven projects and cross-functional teams.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or equivalent analytical tools.
- Experience with cloud-based data environments such as Azure, AWS, or Databricks.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse/data modeling concepts and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, governance, and automation of analytics workflows.
- Ability to lead complex projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive alignment across teams.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Professional data certifications (e.g., Databricks, Azure, AWS).
- Experience with customer-facing digital platforms, IoT analytics, and SaaS business models.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Agile frameworks.
- Experience managing and optimizing data infrastructure in cloud-based environments.
- Working knowledge of Azure Synapse, Databricks, ADLS Gen 2, Google Analytics, Firebase, Big Query.
- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Event Hubs) and CRM platforms (Salesforce, SAP, Tealium CDP).
- Proficiency in CI/CD, source control, and software/technology environments.
