The Senior Data Engineer will also mentor and support the growth of Data Engineers on the team and contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and coding standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Data Modeling & Transformation: Identify existing enterprise data inventory configurations and articulate requirements, technologies, connections, and processes through documentation and diagrams.
- Data Integration: Work with IT teams and architects to define interfaces between data sources and build automated, reliable ETL processes.
- Technology & Process Improvement: Encourage sustainability and cost-effectiveness in technology recommendations while reviewing and improving existing systems.
- Technical Expertise & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain technical expertise, stay updated on evolving technologies, and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Enterprise Data Strategy: Participate in major enterprise projects, guiding integration planning and implementation.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Generate test data, conduct tests, debug programs, and ensure accuracy.
- Development Methodologies: Actively participate in both waterfall and Agile development methodologies as required by projects.
- Mentorship: Guide and support junior team members in problem-solving and skill development.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Follow IT policies, standards, and development best practices.
- Education: One of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, OR
- Associate’s degree in related field with 6 years of IT experience, OR
- High school diploma or equivalent with 12 years of IT experience
- Experience:
- 4 years working with data warehouses and data mashups
- Experience in software development, application, and systems engineering
- Experience conducting cost/benefit analyses for management decisions
- Skills:
- Strong planning and organizing skills to coordinate technical teams
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in high-pressure environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric and technical documentation tools
- Experience with data modeling and technical drawings
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud services
- SAP HANA experience
- Proficiency in C#, .Net, Python, Scala, PowerShell, or SQL
