Injection Molding Production Manager

Responsibilities of a Molding Manager

• Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs all aspects of injection molding machines from AC/DC, low voltage circuitry to 480v, hydraulics, motors, pumps, PLC’s, pneumatics, and various control systems.
• Uses complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics to aid in the repair of machinery.
• Performs installation of new equipment or relocation of equipment, as well as infrastructure and plant support systems as needed.
• Assembles, disassembles, and converts/upgrades production lines or support equipment as required.
• Performs preventive maintenance on injection molding machines and related support equipment.
• Completes all maintenance work order repairs as assigned.
• Maintains inspections of fire protection system, production and facilities equipment.
• Observes all safety regulations and practices.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager.
• Be willing and able to assist in other departments, as needed.
• Stands, walks and uses hands for 8 to 10 hours per day; there is no sitting in this position.
• Supports production by providing overtime and after-hour work as needed.

 Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in plastic injection molding and working knowledge of hydraulics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical circuits.
• Ability to read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, simple instructions, written procedures, and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Works efficiently to keep production demands and customer on-time deliveries on track.
• Must be effective and efficient while performing all tasks to ensure production needs are met.
• Possess a flexible mindset as jobs and tasks change quickly.
• High School Diploma with basic math and excellent communication skills.
