As a Personal Lines Sales Representative, you can offer Personal Lines and Life Insurance to our vast customer base across the Midwest.
The Role: Based in our Oak Lawn, Illinois offices, you will primarily focus on servicing an existing book of business, providing expert coverage advice, managing endorsements and cancellations, and efficiently issuing policies. This role emphasizes the importance of both service and sales, empowering you to cross-sell and up-sell accounts. The ideal candidate has proven experience in personal insurance servicing, whether in the carrier or agency space. Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a dedication to delivering top-notch customer service are essential. Your support to our Agency Sales Staff will be instrumental to our continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an assigned book of business, engaging in consultative conversations to address clients' unique coverage needs
- Develop, quote, and sell Personal Insurance to new and existing clients
- Provide superior customer service within designated timelines, ensuring client retention, fostering referrals, and capturing new business opportunities * Process endorsements and create insurance documents as required
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with carriers and clients
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service or account management experience in the insurance industry
- State Property & Casualty license required
- Proficiency in insurance products, documents, and industry practices
- Strong computer skills; experience with AMS360 is preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for creating a sense of value and importance for customers and coworkers
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, even when time is limited
This is an in-office position with regular hours from Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm. There is no weekend or evening work required.
Spanish-speaking agents are preferred.
