Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of risk assessments to identify operational risks within the branch network.
- Design and implement auditing and review processes to evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and lead the Consumer Risk Assessment team by directing items for review and testing at the branch level.
- Plan and coordinate operational audits and reviews of branch activities to evaluate risk exposure and control effectiveness.
- Document, analyze and report on audit findings to appropriate stakeholders with actionable recommendations.
- Partner with branch leadership to understand operational challenges and align risk assessment activities with business needs.
Knowledge Of
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
- High attention to detail when reviewing processes, auditing controls, and monitoring risk.
- Ability to manage a team and projects through coaching, training, and oversight
- Perform duties under frequent time pressures.
- An associate’s degree in business, risk management, or a related field is required; advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in risk assessment, auditing, or compliance within the banking or financial services industry.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
