Overview
The Regional Commercial Loan Coordinator Manager supports Commercial Loan Coordinators on the technical aspects of the commercial loan portfolio, ensuring accurate and efficient workflow and accurate documentation. The Manager acts as the loan process subject matter expert and provides analysis and recommendations to bankers, loan services teams and other internal clients.

Responsibilities
- Manage team of Commercial Loan Coordinators and all daily functions performed by the group.
- Educate and develop associates in all areas of job responsibilities, including laws, regulations, risk identification and management, software and related updates.
- Motivate, mentor, and lead a high performing team; attract, recruit, and retain associates.
- Ensure associates meet individual/team goals and business objectives and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Clearly communicate performance expectations to associates; recognize strong performance and address any deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Ensure Commercial Loan Coordinators are trained on loan workflow software to ensure accuracy and integrity of the information.
- Plan, organize and coordinate team workflow and activities while developing best practices for collaborating with Service Support teams as needed.
- Gather pertinent business, financial, service and operations information; identify and evaluate trends; define objectives and evaluate outcomes and make recommendations to the Regional President.
- Develop, execute and maintain process improvement recommendations.
- Conduct document review of new or updated loan documents to ensure completion.
- Maintain policies and procedures for all Commercial Loan Coordinator functions.
- Communicate directly with Bankers and Loan Services if issues are identified and follow up as needed to ensure resolution.
- Regularly review past due exceptions report and coordinate timely resolution.
- Escalate risks to management team and recommend solutions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and provide recommendations to Bankers and other internal clients for support with Loan Services documentation and maintenance.
- Ensure lending staff is provided with updates and procedural changes.
- Adhere to all State and Federal Banking Regulations.
- Stay current on compliance and regulations and ensure necessary changes have been implemented as directed.
- Function as liaison with the Commercial Loan Operations/Commercial Banking Service Support Director – ensure compliance requirements and policies/procedures are being met.
- May perform administrative duties and/or back up support to Loan Coordinators as needed.
- Knowledge of:
- Leadership, recruiting, coaching and mentoring skills
- Five or more years as a Commercial Loan Coordinator, or similar, preferred.
- Two to three years’ experience managing direct reports.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Various software programs and commercial banking products and services
- Ability to:
- Lead high performing teams; ensures team follows established options
- Develops new procedures and approaches to problems when necessary
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally
- Maintain visual attention and mental concentration for extended periods of time
- Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures
- Education and Training:
- Requires High School diploma; continued education preferred.
- Requires a minimum of 5 or more years of related banking experience, in loan coordination, collateral documentation or lending operations.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office
