Position: Export Sales Representative

Salary: Commission (First 12 months’ Salary commission)
The Export Meat Sales Representative is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for international meat markets, identifying and engaging with potential customers, managing existing accounts, and ensuring smooth international sales processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
- Identify and analyze potential international markets and customers for meat products.
- Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs in target countries.
- Stay informed about import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
Sales and Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets in international markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients.
- Negotiate sales contracts, prices, and terms of delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries promptly.
- Handle order processing, including coordinating with logistics, shipping, and documentation.
- Initiate direct communication by making cold calls to potential accounts.
Logistics, Compliance, and Documentation:
- Coordinate with internal logistics and shipping team to ensure timely and compliant deliveries to ensure smooth export processes.
- Prepare and manage necessary export documentation for international shipments, such as invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure products meet the regulatory standards of the importing country.
Communication and Presentation:·
- Communicate effectively with international clients and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on meat products and sales strategies.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to network and generate leads.
Other Duties:
- Attend trade shows and industry events to network and promote products.
- Provide support and guidance to customers regarding product information, usage, and storage.
- Stay up to date on industry, new products, and competitor activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Sales and Negotiation skills
- International Business Knowledge and Regulations.
- Understanding meat products and the meat industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
Requirements:
- 3 years of export experience in the foodservice/protein industry
- Education: BA degree or equivalent experience
- 10% of traveling internationally to visit clients.
- Bilingual is a plus but not a must
- International trade regulation, tariffs, and logistics experience.
